Butler, Vernetta A. "Peachy" Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Butler passed away Saturday morning, July 23, 2011 at Bay Shores Nursing Home. Age 80 years. The daughter of the late LaVern and Lauretta (Kahle) Richmond was born April 8, 1931 in Spring Port, MI. She had a great love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she enjoyed camping and sitting by the campfire and liked to read. She is survived by her husband; John T. Butler whom she married December 27, 1951. Also surviving are her children; Deborah Adamczyk, John L. (fiancée Linda Manyen) Butler, Dennis (Kim) Butler all of Bay City, Diane (Duane) Laking of Frankenmuth, Dawn (Ken) VanDenBoom of Munger, Patricia (John Paul) Hartson of Bay City and Tina (Todd) Buda of Great Lakes, Ill., fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother; Charles Richmond, two sisters; Betty Davids and Linda Junquist, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother;Raymond Richmond, son-in-law; Anthony Adamczyk, one grandson; Andrew VanDenBoom. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with a graveside committal service following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services.
