Vesta Ilene Clough, of Fort Wayne, IN formerly of Bay City, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN. Born January 29, 1917 in Clare, she was the daughter of Miscoe & Melissa Robinette. Vesta graduated from Clare High School then moved to Bay City where she met Arlie Clough. They were married in August, 1940 and lived in Bay City for 52 years before moving to Fort Wayne, IN. Vesta was a homemaker, raising two sons. She worked part-time in sales at a westside book store. Vesta was a founding member of New Life Missionary Church and a member of The Gideons International Auxiliary. Vesta is survived by her sons Mark (Becky) of Fort Wayne and Keith (Jane) of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are sisters Stella Eaton of Farwell; Eunice Larkin of McKinney, TX; and Ruth (John) O'Dell of Midland; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2001; brother, Mervin Robinette; and sister, Ellen Walters. Vesta was committed to her Savior and became an avid student of the Bible. Her passion was prayer and mentoring other women to a deeper faith in Jesus Christ. The funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Monday February 20, 2012 at New Life Missionary Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Boyer. Interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 12:00pm until time of service.
