Victor passed away Saturday evening, April 28, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 84 years. The son of the late Martin and Sadie (Damrau) Kaidan was born September 25, 1933 in Bay City. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Vincent de Paul Church. Victor retired from General Motors Corporation as a Tool and Die Maker after thirty two years of service. Victor was a volunteer fireman for the Monitor Township Fire Department. He was member of the P.L.A.V. #162 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #169. Victor enjoyed golfing, woodworking, working outside, traveling, attending his Navy reunions and going to Rally's to get french fries. He proudly served his county in the U.S. Navy and was qualified diver for the Navy.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his daughter Ann Marie Kaidan; his son and daughter-in-law, Randy (Allen) Julie Kaiden; his grandchildren, Kristopher (Brooks) Kaidan and Ashley (Billy) Brown; his great grandson Kole Ferranti, Boston and Landon Brown; his sisters-in-law, RoseMary Kaidan, Charlotte McCarthy and Delphine Jankowski; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Kaidan; two brothers, Raymond and Ronald Kaiden.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John Sarge. The Rite of Committal will take place at St. Stanislaus Mausoleum followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. to receive family and friends. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Victor will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
