Violet May White

Violet May White Bay City, Michigan Our loving mother and grandmother passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Carriage House of Bay City at the age of 93 years. She was born May 1, 1923 in Painsdale, Michigan and has resided in Bay City for many years. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Left to cherish her memories are four children; Kenneth C. and Christine White of Grayling, Patricia A. and Ed Gacek of Midland, Rebecca D. and Gary Emmons of Las Vegas and Thomas S. White of Gladwin, four grandchildren; Dane G. White, Michael S. and Tracey Reid, Joseph and Katie Clark and Amanda (John Tustin) VanHorn , four great grandchildren; Jacob Reid, Taylon Reid, Halle Clark and Dawson Clark. On October 18, 1944 she married Charles Theon White and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; Newton and Violet (Hodge) Stephens and two brothers; Newton and Thomas Stephens. Funeral Services will take place Friday, November 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Charles Campbell with Entombment following in Oakwood Mausoleum. The family will be present at the funeral home to receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to Mott Children's Hospital.
