Virgie M. Fisher

Mrs. Fisher passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 83 years. The daughter of the late Grover and Myrtle (Shannon) Keys was born May 22, 1930 in Delaware, Ohio. She was a member of New Life Missionary Church. Mrs. Fisher retired from Dow Chemical Co. as an Administrative Assistant. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan and Detroit Tigers Fan. She is survived by her husband; John M. Fisher whom she married September 18, 1949. Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law; Ronald and Susan Fisher of Saginaw, MI, one daughter and son-in-law; Teresa and Bill McKinsey of Marshall, IL, her grandchildren; Ryan Fisher of Ann Arbor, MI, Chad Fisher of Saginaw, MI, Ian McKinsey and Elly McKinsey both of Marshall, IL, one sister and brother-in-law; Evelyn and Charles Adams and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers; Mary Martin, Leonard Keys, Clifton Keys, Grace Hines and Kathy Keys. Funeral Services will take place Monday, August 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Missionary Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Boyer with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Fisher will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
