Virginia Marguerite Maxson (Charlesbois, Mulligan) Bay City Mrs. Maxson passed away early Thursday morning April 19, 2012 at Brian's House, age 96. The daughter of the late William J. & Carrie D. (Reynolds) Vaughn, Sr., she was born April 11, 1916 in Bay City. Virginia was a member of First United Methodist Church. She retired in 1981 from Michigan Bell Telephone. Virginia had served as Treasurer of Regional Homes & Bangor Downs Development. She was a member of O.E.S. Sharon Chapter #10, the Bay County Historical Society, the Bay Heritage Quilters and the B.P.O.E. Lady Retirees. Mrs. Maxson is survived by her son, David R. (Brenda) Charlesbois of Bay City; stepchildren, Kathleen Mulligan of Bay City and Timothy (Debra) Mulligan of Texas; grandchildren, Stacy B. (Ian) Charlesbois-Nordan of Farmington Hills and Susan R. (Brandon) Charlesbois-Scheollte of Ann Arbor; three great-grandchildren, Nathalie E., Joseph E. and Claire M. Nordan; and nieces & nephews, Judith V. (Lisk) Gordon, Pamela J. (Andrew M.) Crutcher, Kevin W. (Lisa) Vaughn, James M. (Michelle) Vaughn and William J. (Joanne) Vaughn III. Besides her parents, Virginia was also preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph E. Charlesbois; her second husband, Bruce V. Mulligan; her third husband, George A. Maxson; an infant son, Joseph Timothy Charlesbois; two brothers, Walter R. (Florabeth) Vaughn and William J. (Dorothy) Vaughn, Jr.; and her sister, Elaine A. (Lisk) Evans. At the request of Mrs. Maxson, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. A private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.
