Newton, Virginia A. Hampton Township Essexville, Michigan Mrs. Newton passed away early Wednesday morning September 18, 2013 at The Carriage House of Bay City at the age of 88years. She was born April 24, 1925 in Light, Arkansas. Virginia was a member of Fraser Road Church of God, she retired from Bay Lanes Bowling Alley and McDonalds Restaurant on Center Ave. A loving wife and devoted mother , Virginia treasured her family that grew to include the love of her life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law; Patrick and Sharon Newton of Linwood and Michael and Debbie Newton of Essexville, five grandchildren; Steve Newton, Becky and Chris McKeoun, Kelly Newton, Jodi and Rod Ebersberger and Paul and Dayna Newton, five great grandchildren; Autumn, Abby, Ethan, Dylan and Ryleigh. She was preceded in death by her husband; Orville "Bud" Newton, one sister; Gerry Taylor, her mother; Eunice Sutton and her father; Daniel Sutton. The Newton family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Carriage House of Bay City for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Mrs. Newton during the time they cared for her. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Fraser Road Church of God 2755 Fraser Road Kawkawlin, MI. Officiating will be Pastor Jerry Johnston with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Newton will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service.
