Wayne was born on November 6, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the only son of Nelson and Esther Kieb.
In his early years, Wayne grew up in Pleasant Ridge Michigan and later, graduated from Howe Military Academy where he was a member of the golf team.
Wayne attended Lawrence Tech, Central Michigan University, and Eastern Michigan University.
Some of Wayne's greatest passions were cars, history, golf, and music. Wayne spent his younger years racing cars and participating in road rallies with P.O.R. (Push On Regardless) both organized by the Detroit Region of the Sports Car Club of America. He also enjoyed trekking the Rubicon Trail in the Sierra Nevada mountain range numerous times with the Jeepers Jamboree. Wayne and his wife Mary Ellen were seasoned RVers and Wayne enjoyed playing music in the "Exit 501 Band" with his "Texas family." Wayne was an avid history buff and enjoyed reenacting the in Revolutionary War, reenacting with 1st Pennsylvania Regiment reenactment group.
Wayne retired from American Motors/Chrysler Corporation after working for 30 years in their international division. Wayne was blessed to have seen the world and worked with some amazing people during his career.
He loved his family deeply and dearly, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Ellen, the Reverend Eric (Lisa) Kieb, and his grandchildren, Brennan, Calvin, and Isabella. He was predeceased by his Father, Nelson Kieb, mother, Esther Kieb, and son Christopher Kieb.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Church, 4267 South Two Mile Rd, on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 1pm and the family will receive visitors beginning at 11am until the time of service. Pastor Jeff Temple will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Grace Church or the National Kidney Foundation.
