Mr. Billingsley passed away Monday morning, February 10, 2014 at his residence at the age of 81 years. The son of the late Fred and Edith (Ivey) Billingsley was born July 3, 1932 in Bay County, MI. He was a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. Mr. Billingsley retired from the Carpenters Local #706 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Mr. Billingsley served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post #18. Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife the former Charlotte J. Provo whom he married June 16. 1956, his children and their spouses; Marty and Sandy Billingsley, Daniel Billingsley, Suzanne and James Goik, five grandchildren; Alisha (Kevin) Phillips, Ashley Billingsley, Tara (Shaun) Betzold, Shane Billingsley and Shawn Billingsley, four great grandchildren; Isabella and Addison Phillips, Alexis and Maci Betzold, one sister and brother-in-law; Arlene and Russ Madison, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sisters and brothers; Dorothy, Don, Jim, Doris and Robert. Funeral Services will take place Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Richard M. Filary with interment following in St. Patrick's Cemetery followed by Military Honor's conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. The family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
