Willard L. "Bill" Neveau Sr.

Mr. Neveau passed away early Sunday morning, March 4, 2012 at Brian's House. Age 82 years. The son of the late Floyd and Donna (Buck) Neveau was born July 21, 1929 in Bay County and has resided here all of his life. He was retired from G.M. Powertrain Bay City Plant as a supervisor. Mr. Neveau was a member of Knights of Columbus #2740 in Essexville, a charter member of the 4th degree and past Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator. He served in the United States Merchant Marines. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved to dance, liked to create his own version of silly songs and jokes, loved talking about his grandchildren and was a man of strength. Mr. Neveau is survived by his children and their spouses; Willard "Billy" Neveau Jr. of Bay City, Joette and Gregory Talicska of Auburn and Ryan and Janet Neveau of Bay City, his grandchildren; Bethany Neveau, Steven (Kim) Neveau, Molly (Scott) Stabler, Kelli (David) Turner, Kristina (Joseph) VanWormer, Kyle (Jill) Talicska, Katie and Brooke Neveau, his great grandchildren; Alex VanWormer, Samuel Turner, Alex and Willard Neveau, David and Kylie Klunder, Cody Olson and Ellie Stabler, his sister-in-law; Theresa Jacklin and his nephew; Guy Seefield, his sisters and brothers; Delores (Paul) Gendron, Donna (Richard) Precour, Lorraine (Norm) Roth, Robert (Carol) Neveau, James (Ellen) Neveau, Carl (Karen) Neveau and Frederick (Bonnie) Neveau, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Marie E. Neveau, his sisters and brothers; Marcella McPherson, Diantha Schuchardt, Roseanell Gillisse, Tom, Aldwidge, Lynn, Jack, Frank, Floyd and Eva Neveau, Ruth Roth and Iva Roth. Member of Knights of Columbus # 2740 will meet at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 for the bible presentation and the chalice presentation by members of John F. Kennedy #503. Followed by the funeral services conducted by Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A time of sharing memories will take place Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Cards for Knights of Columbus #2470, Salvation Army Soup Kitchen or Brian's House will be available at the funeral home.
