Willi O. Krenke

Willi passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Imland Hospital in Ekernforde, Germany. The son of the late Karl and Emma (Hoffmann) Krenke was born January 24, 1922 in Loppwipz, Germany. He was a soldier in the German Army and after the war they came to Bay City in 1956. He retired from Grey Iron Foundry as a molder. Willi was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and enjoyed taking care of his lawn at his home. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Christel and Gunther Eichler of Osterby, Germany, two granddaughters; Larissa Krause and her husband; Marko and their son; Eric Krause, Tamara Petzold and her husband; Marcel, his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law; Gerhard and Gail Klemm and Irmgard Savin, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Ruth W. Krenke. A Memorial Service will take place Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church with private burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral home on Thursday, January 23, 2014 to receive family and friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
