William S. Curphy

Curphy, William S. Kawkawlin, Michigan Mr. Curphy passed away early Saturday morning March 9, 2013 at The Carriage House of Bay City. Age 79 years. The son of the late Theodore H. and Lois (Cody) Curphy was born October 18, 1933 in Bay City and lived in this area all of his life. He retired from the Painters Local # 1803 Af of L, was a member of AA, was an avid wood worker and enjoyed a trip to the casino. Bill is survived by a companion of twenty years; Joyce Switala of Kawkawlin, his step children, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, one special grandson; Larry Stevens of Bay City, one sister and brother-in-law; Carolyn and Joe Rasmussen of Bay City, his extended family; The Switala children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Marlene Curphy, one sister; Lois and two brothers; Ralph and Keith. At the request of Mr. Curphy cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.. A private inurnment took place at Floral Gardens Cemetery.
