William W. Hubbard

Hubbard, William W. Jr. "Bill" Bay City, Michigan Bill passed away Thursday evening, May 12, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 83 years. The son of the late William W. and Hazel (LeMere) Hubbard Sr. was born February 17, 1928 in Bay City. He attended Trinity Episcopal Church. Bill retied from Industrial Brown Hoist as a welder. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #6950, V.F.W. Post # 18, 40 & 8, he was very proud to serve on the Honor Guard for funerals for the Bay County Veterans Council where he was a member their firing squad. Bill served with the U.S. Army during W.W. II. In his free time enjoyed putting together model boats and airplanes, doing crossword puzzles and watching the Detroit Tigers. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He is survived by his wife of fifty four years the former Patricia M. Sauer whom he married October 19, 1957. Also surviving are three sisters; Dorothy Brissette, Lillian Luxton and Viola Jasman, one brother; Edward Hubbard, his mother-in-law; Bertha Sauer, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. At the request of Bill cremation has take place. A memorial service will take place Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be The Rev. Fr. Michael Herman followed by a service conducted by the V.F.W. Post 6950. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. Graveside Military Honor's will be conducted Friday, May 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Floral Gardens Cemetery with inurnment following.
