William S. Johnson

Mr. Johnson passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 67 years. The son of the late Edward and Bernice (DeCant) Johnson was born March 22, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio. William Retired from Bangor Township Schools after 30 years of service and loved going fishing and playing bingo with his wife Janice.
William is survived by his wife of 47 years the former, Janice Burgess; one daughter, Lisa Marie (John) Killey; one son, Matthew Johnson; grandchildren, Kyle David Johnson and Faith Elisabeth Johnson; brothers and sisters, Robert Edward (Leah) Johnson, Tina (Brian) Williams, Sherry (Dennis) Milledge and Debbie Thompson and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three children, William Steven Johnson Jr., Charlie James Johnson and Kelly Lynn Johnson; father-in-law, Clarence Lee Burgess; mother-in-law, Geraldine (Baker) Burgess; brother, Donald Johnson; two sisters, Sandy Martinez and Barb LaCourse.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. Private inurnment will take place at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
