William Wayne Lopez, Sr.

William Wayne Lopez, Sr. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Lopez passed away Friday morning July 13, 2012 at Brian's House, age 64. The son of the late Ynez & Belma (Dietlein) Lopez, he was born August 4, 1947 in Bay City. William served with the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was currently a member of the American Legion Post #18. He was retired from General Housing Corp. William enjoyed golfing and playing cards. On February 26, 1966 William married Anna M. Snellenberger and she survives him along with four sons, Joseph (Kimberly) Lopez and Ernest Lopez, both of Bay City, Scott Lopez of Flushing and William W. Lopez, III of Saginaw; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; seven brothers and three sisters; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law; his mother-in-law; and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, William was also preceded in death by a son, William W. Lopez, Jr. in 1988; and two brothers-in-law. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday July 16, 2012 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson followed by interment at St. Patrick Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Navy and the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
