William E. Preston

Preston, William E. Sr.Bay City, MichiganMr. Preston passed away March 1, 2010 at his residence. Age 79 years. The son of the late Amos and Mary (Streeter) Preston was born November 9, 1930 in Bay City. He retired from the former Rosenbury's Furniture. Mr. Preston served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.He is survived by his wife the former Joan J. La Pan whom he married August 7, 1954. Also surviving are his children; Rose Bedebnbaugh, Mary Metro, William Preston Jr. and Betty Jo (Keith) Kehrer, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one brother; Kenneth (Bev) Preston, two sisters; Nancy Davies and Dorothy Brown. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, his brothers; Clifford, Donald and Richard, his sisters, Gertrude, Virginia and Irene.Funeral Services will take place Friday, March 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery followed by Military Honor's Conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council.
