Schultz, Willaim Darrall "Bill" Bay City, Michigan Mr. Schultz passed away Monday morning March 2, 2015 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center with his loving family at his side. Age of 84 years. The son of the late William and Elizabeth (Osborne) Schultz was born on September 29, 1930 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. He was a member St. Catherine Siena Parish - St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the American Legion Post 18, the Knights of Columbus Council # 414 and Saginaw Bay Yacht Club. Bill retired from Dow Chemical Company in Midland as the Manager of Labor Relations, He was an avid reader and writer, enjoyed poetry, photography, served as the reference librarian for the Bay County Library System and most of all he enjoyed spending with his family. On August 21, 1950 he married the former Joan Marie Revette and she is left behind to cherish his memories along with three sons and one daughter-in-law; Greg Schultz, James and Julie Schultz and Jon Schultz and his fiancee Shelly Malmo all of Bay City, six loving grandchildren; Geoffrey Kaczmarek, Cayla Schultz and her fiancee Mark Blair, Frank Schultz, Lindsi Schultz, Michael Schultz and Zachary Schultz, three great grandchildren; Seth Champine, Beau Vermesch and Adeline "Addy" Blair, two sisters-in-law; Maryanne Young and Shirley Revette and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter; Deborah "Debbie" Schultz- Kaczmarek, three brothers; Robert, Harold and Ben Schultz and his mother-in-law and father-in-law; Wilbur and Bessie Revette, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Harriet (William) McParlan, Leone (William) Coonan, PFC Frank Revette, Darrell (Elaine) Revette, Jack (Mabel) Revette, Lyle Revette, Richard Young, Michael Revette and Ronald (Nancy) Revette. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Thursday, March 5, 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. St. Catherine of Siena Parish 2956 E. North Union Road Bay City, MI 48706. Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge and Sr. Virginia Scally, SNDdeN will officiate over the Funeral Rite followed by Military Honors conducted by the United States Navy and the Bay County Veterans Council at the Church. Private interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin. Friends my call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Members of the Knights of Columbus will meet at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m. for the Bible Presentation followed by The Vigil for the Deceased at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Schultz will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the Wounded Warrior Project will be available.
