William Starrett Jr.

Starrett, William Jr. of Kawkawlin, Michigan passed away Saturday evening April 7, 2012 at McLaren- Bay Region. Age 77 years. He was born January 6, 1935 in Bay City, Michigan and has resided in this area all of his life. Bill was a former member of Thorburn United Methodist Church in Bay City and retired from Kerkau Manufacturing as a machinist. He was a truck driver and worked at Kawkawlin Lumber Yard. He is survived by three children; Rocky (Nadine) Starrett of Bay City, Kathy (Dave) Gleason of Kawkawlin and Linda Kay (Jeffrey) Schalk of Kawkawlin, nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one sister; Lillian (William) Kolb of Rhodes and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty L.(Pudvan) Starrett, his parents; William and Mary (Dewey) Starrett Sr. and one son; Robert Lee Starrett. Funeral services will take place Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. With interment following in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for the Wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
