William Trombley

William "Bill" Trombley was born in Bay City Michigan, son of Maurice and Ruth Trombley. He was happily married to Julie Ann (Petee) for 50 years until her passing on Aug. 19, 2010. Bill is survived by his sister Maureen and is predeceased by his brothers, Mike and Robin (Butch). He will be deeply missed by his sons and their spouses: Steve and Claudia (Florida), Chris (Florida), Mick and Cheryl (Pennsylvania), and Jon (Wisconsin). He also will be missed by his Grandchildren Erika, Luke, Joey and Jennifer. Bill started working for his father at Trombley Paint Company in Bay City. Career path opportunities led to various key sales positions at both Hills Brother's Coffee and Wheaton Glass Company. His career progressed to a position of Grocery Supervisor/Business Developer at Reeves/Parvin in Huntingdon, Pa. eventually owning three IGA Grocery Stores in Pennsylvania, and an additional store in Florida. Bill always strived to help others. This second nature characteristic was his way of life up to his final day. For the past three years, he regularly delivered for Meals on Wheels in Deland, Florida, which he affectionately referred to as his "high paying job" and was recently recognized for his service by Council on Aging (COA). He made many friends along the way and was loved by those he met and served. He enjoyed open fires and cooking mountain pies for his family. He loved driving and would endlessly cruise on back dirt roads, not knowing where they would lead; bringing home wild flowers for his wife. He was a very loving and passionate father who encouraged his children to strive to be top performers in everything they did in life. He was in the Father's Hall of Fame established by the National Center for Fathering. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 10:00AM at St. James Catholic Church, 710 Columbus Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Lunch will be served in the parish hall immediately after internment at St. Patrick's "New" Cemetery. The family requests donations in lieu of flowers toward new doors for the Deland Meals on Wheels kitchen. www.gepharfuneralhome.com Please send donations to: Council on Aging (COA) Attn: Meals on Wheels Nutrition Department P.O.
