William A. Williams "Bill"

Loving husband, father, grand-father, and great-grandfather, passed away on Friday, March  1, 2019 with his family by his side. William "Bill" was born on October 25, 1934 in Princeton, Indiana to the late Melvin Williams and Anna Jean (Faulkner) Champagne. Bill Retired from GM after 34 years. He loved his family, the Marine Corp, coaching, playing golf and playing softball.

Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years Joan (Valead); daughter, Bonnie Williams of Conway SC; sons Charles Williams and girlfriend Margaret Ferris of Sandusky, MI and Mark (Melissa) Williams of Saginaw, MI; eleven grandchildren, David Williams II, Brittnay (Keith) Thurston, Brianna (Zach) Schisler, Brandon Williams, Bryce Williams, Shay Williams, Emy Chamberlain, Seth Williams, Josh Williams, Brian Pettyplace, and Aubrey (Chris) Rittmueller; seven great-grandchildren, Kolton, Beckett Thurston, Blakely Thurston, Kenzi Jean Wellings, Avery, Christopher, and Madison Rittmueller. Bill was predeceased by his mother and father; step-father, Claude Champagne; brother, Chuck Williams; and his son, David Williams.

At the request of Bill, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
