Wilma R. Stewart (Neumeyer)

Mrs. Stewart passed away early Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Toni & Trish House at the age of 98 years. She was born in Bay County on August 21, 1919 to the late Phillip and Alma (Ruterbusch) Wagner. Wilma marred Melvin Neumeyer on May 14, 1948, he preceded her in death in July of 1977. She than married Eugene Stewart on June 18, 1983, he also preceded her in death on June 21, 2000. Wilma was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. She was also a member of Lutheran Missionary League. She volunteered at the Economy Center for many years. In her free time she enjoyed reading, playing cards, listening to Lawrence Welk and the Detroit Tigers. Mrs. Stewart is survived by her children, Sally (Howard) McMullen, Joan (Bob) Lutz and Paul (Barb) Neumeyer; grandchildren, Angela (Mickel) Davis, Kelly (Josh) Kusterer, Jason (Jenny) Eichinger, Patrick McMullen and Jordan Neumeyer; great grandchildren, Samantha, Alyssa, Gabe, Hayden, Jack, Zoe and Rogun. Wilma's funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis W. Matyas. Burial will take place in St. Paul Cemetery following the service. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Stewart will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
