Wilsona E. Lauria

Mrs. Lauria passed away early Friday morning, June 6, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Wilson) Metz was born November 28, 1921 in Lapeer County, MI. She attended Pinconning Wesleyan Church for many years. She loved baking cookies for family and friends, playing cards and reading her bible. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Shirley Lauria, Fred (Cheryl) Lauria, Linda Younce, Billie Jean (Michael Sr.) Kerneen, Ron (Donna) Lauria, Marilyn (Alan) Roeder, Tom (Sue) Lauria, her grandchildren; Ben III, Cindy, Lisa, Gerald, Tina, , Jazzabell, Isabell, Jeff, Kim, David, Bob, Mike Jr., Joe, Michelle, Jodi, R.J., Billy, Dean, Sam, Keith, Eric, Mark, Adam, Mandi and Jay, 39 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, one sister-in-law; Vesta Carroll, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Benjamin Lauria Sr., one son and daughter-in-law; Benjamin and Marcia Lauria Jr; her grandson; Nathaniel Lauria, her brothers and sisters. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the staff of Huron Woods Nursing Home and the staff of McLaren Visiting Nurse Services and Hospice for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during her time of need. At the request of Mrs. Lauria cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place Monday, June 9, 2014 at 12:00 o'clock Noon at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Chris Austin. The family will be present at the funeral home on Sunday to receive family and friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
